Winddancer (or Wind Dancer), better known as Windy, was Zach's first bonded. He was an exceptional flier, being able to fly through Serpent's Teeth, a series of dangerously sharp, small and skinny mountains, while it was foggy. He was first introduced in Cry of the Wolf, and was sadly killed off in the same book.
Winddancer was killed when flying away from imps and gargoyles. He took a painful Black Fire, still managing to fly his bonded and Adriane safely to the Fairimentals. Windy died right when they arrived on the Fairy Glade.
