Chain is a black mistwolf, who was formerly Henry Gardener's bonded. Gardener betrayed him, making Chain lose his trust in all creatures - from wommels to humans - and refused to join the Spirit Pack. Losing his trust, he turned to dark magic and became the paladin of the Spider Witch. Gradually, he decided to become the mistwolf packleader of the Spirit Pack after turning pure again.
