Ariel is a magical snow owl from Aldenmor with white feathers and colorful wingtips including turqoise, lavender, and gold. Ariel is sometimes mistaken as the first animal Emily healed, but she is the second, but still her first bonded.
Ariel plays minor roles throughout the rest of the series, but still has a special bond with her healer. Ariel is a very loyal and loving companion, and a key member of Avalon's Team Magic. She communicates telepathically, like some other bondeds, and her verbal skills are improving all the time. She often lands on Emily's arm to the amazement of the tourists, wondering how she trained such a majestic bird.
She is the only magical snow owl seen in the series. It is unknown if she is the last of her kind.
